Launch of the European Project AI-InnoSCenCE – AI for the Circular Economy!

A new step toward innovation, sustainability, and regional development!
In April 2025, the European Project No. 24159 – AI-InnoSCenCE ("AI-Empowered Innovation in Natural Science and Engineering for the Circular Economy") officially kicked off.
The project is supported by the EIT Higher Education Initiative under the Horizon Europe program – Pillar 3: Innovative Europe, with backing from EIT RawMaterials and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
"Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu" State University of Cahul participates alongside an international consortium comprising seven institutions from Germany, Serbia, and the Republic of Moldova.
Artificial Intelligence and Circular Economy – Two Pillars of Innovation!
The project leverages AI to build innovative solutions in the circular economy and strengthens collaboration between universities, business environments, and research ecosystems.
Key Action Areas:
Integrating AI into education, research, and innovation;
Developing digital, technological, and entrepreneurial skills;
Modernizing academic curricula through interdisciplinary courses;
Supporting circular economy-oriented startups;
Building research capacities in the field of artificial intelligence;
Fostering collaboration among academia, industry, and local authorities;

University Contribution to Regional Development
Through AI-InnoSCenCE, the university contributes to developing a regional innovation ecosystem where education, research, and entrepreneurship reinforce each other.
Students and faculty members will participate in practical activities, interdisciplinary research, business idea development, and active collaboration with local enterprises.
